Truly, this is without a doubt the most comfortable shoe I own; and, after 3 years of almost daily wear, they are still in great condition and the pair I reach for again and again. I can spend hours working, shopping, walking the dog, etc... without feeling fatigued in my feet, ankles, or legs. I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but the top of the shoe has two elastic inserts that allow the shoes to gently conform to your feet, and this makes a huge difference in the comfort and fit of this shoe, especially if you experience occasional swelling of the feet and ankles. I like trying new things, and I do not consider myself particularly brand loyal, but these shoes are the exception...I'm ordering another pair today, not because my old ones need replacing, but because they've lasted so long I live in fear that they will stop making this style. A+++

I have worn these shoes almost every day for years and I love them!! My feet are very wide and few shoes fit without pinching and hurting. These have a large toe box and I love the fit. When I am traveling, these make it easier to walk around without my having sore feet. I even took a pair overseas and wore them when touring. Love them, love them, love them.

I wore this shoe the whole shift from the first day, with no "break in" needed. Very comfortable, nice looking shoe. I did add an arch support insert, but I need to on most shoes I buy. I am a nurse, and have been wearing New Balance exclusively for years, can't beat the quality and value.

I have many pairs of shoes. My feet usually hurt after a couple of hours. When you have to be on your feet at least 8 hours at a time, you need a good pair. These are the best. I will definitly get another pair.

Overall very comfortable however based on previous reviews that indicated that the shoe ran small I ordered the next half size bigger. On me the shoe ran true to size so I had to return the bigger size and go with my regular size.

I had a neuroma on one of my feet and after some research on the net I found that this specific model is recomended for people with neuromas, good support helps with the pressure and pain, they give your feet some relief, and I think it is a good alternative to those super expensive rocking shoes.
The only thing that I didn't like is that there is not, at least I could not found any, variety of colors for these shoes, the only color that I found was white and I HATE white shoes, but that is just me.

I must wear good shoes and an orthotic for relief from pain. These shoes are wonderful and the orthotic fits really well in the 2E width.

I bought the New Balance 811's about 3 months ago. I recently noticed a strong "male cat pee" odor on them. I do not own a cat! I have tried everything to get the smell out of them. Nothing works! So I'm afraid the shoes I paid $90 for are going to be unwearable. I have never had a problem with any other tennis shoes in my life.
*Please Note: I have contacted New Balance and they are aware of the problem with the earlier models of this shoe and will be sending me a new pair! :)

Am very pleased with this shoe. It is exactly as described and the price is good. Especially since I could not find this particular shoe in their outlet in Vacaville Ca.

I bought these for the summer and to where at the airport so it would be easy to take off and put on.Very comfortable. They run a little small,their best with thin socks or no socks. Get a 1/2 size bigger for thicker socks. Would but them again!
