I needed a sneaker that I could wear when there was dew on the grass, walking through wet leaves and through rain or light snow. My feet have stayed dry through all the above and it was just what I wanted. I wish it were cushioned a little better but that might just be my age talking. Overall, I am well pleased.

This is my 2nd pair of this New Balance model. The 1st time, I didn't know that the Nubuck/suede upper MUST be treated with stain preventative spray (that also waterproofs, but shoe is fine by itself in that regard)and my 1st pair immediately absorbed stains no cleaner would remove and, although wonderfully comfortable, looked dirty and were usable only for work around the house and walks in the perennially wet woods and beach in the neighborhood.
I treated my 2nd pair, before wearing them, with spray I ordered from New Balance. They're comfortable and good-looking, and keep my feet warm and dry.

Most comfortable, water-proof hiking shoes on the market. Good lug soles. I wear mine as an everyday shoe, as well. I am wearing my 3rd pair in 6 years.

I have been wearing these shoes for more than a year. I had a problem with my foot and when I went to an orthopedic surgeon, she told me the shoes were "perfect". I agree. I totally disagree that the toe is too wide. I feel that the fit is true to size.

I have small wide feet and needed better sources for uber-wide shoes. My last cheap pair of (mens!) sneakers cracked at the bottom, couldn't use in the rain, soles finally wore out after less than a year. These are completely comfortable, very supportive, and the neutral brown color is just my style. I haven't worn them yet in the rain, but I'm delighted to have the option to keep up with my morning exercise, no matter what the weather. I'm confident of the New Balance quality. Oh yeah, and the price was out of this world, almost 50% off the ubiquitous catalog price. Amazon has just moved up on my list for hard to find apparel!

This hiking shoe is very boxy in the toe and wide around the sides of the foot even though I bought it in a narrow size. (I wear an 11 narrow.) My husband also thought it made my foot look extra large all around. I've bought other New Balance hiking shoes before in this size without a problem so I think it's likely just this model and will look for something else in this brand.

These shoes were exactly what I wanted. I had tried them on in the store and was told I couldn't get them anywhere else, but found them $40 cheaper online. They came faster than anticipated and they are perfect!
