5.0 out of 5 stars NB 572 Pink/Grey
These shoes are very comfortable. I bought them a size larger than I would normally wear based on other reviews from another site. I had been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis and sought treatment from a podiatrist. He recommened the NewBalance brand of shoes and while at the office, I noticed the entire staff wore New Balance shoes. No regrets!

3.0 out of 5 stars New Balance Women's WT572 Trail Running Shoe
Size ordered was a 12 - felt short but kept it because I liked the shoe and thought if my foot didn't slide into end of the toe area I would be OK. Also I hate to return things. Big mistake, feet do slip and my left big toe is affected - should have returned the pair right away. Size is not true. Ordered two other models of Women's New Balance size 12 and they are fine...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great shoes, June 20, 2010
Very comfortable, has lasted well over a year of constant wear, and doesn't look dirty at all despite going through a lot of sand and snow during a typical New England winter.

This shoe appears to run 1 size smaller than it really is.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice shoe - Runs small, October 16, 2010

My husband bought these shoes for me. After reading reviews about these shoes, I bought an 8 1/2 instead of an 8. They fit perfectly. I suggest you get a half size bigger. I really like the tread.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for the desert, September 17, 2010
Loved these shoes- esspecially for desert- the sand isn't quite as noticable compared to most other colors. My only complaint is that if you have high arches, you are going to need some inserts. As soon as I put some in they didnt hurt my feet anymore.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lovely!!! Would definitely purchase again!, December 11, 2011
I purchased my pink & grey New Balance 572's nearly a year and a half ago & I've been really happy with them! Depending on the brand, I tend to wear shoes from an 8W to a size 9, including NB shoes. I have wide, flat feet, and my left foot has a really bad bunion so I try to get wides when possible. Since the location I purchased these from didn't have a wide, I selected the size 9's which gave plenty of room around the width of my foot and were a little longer than my foot needs but I'm quite used to having a little extra room due to 8W-8 1/2W's being a very popular size. Regardless, I've walked many, many miles in these shoes & only now are they starting to show some wear, mostly around the ankle part where friction has caused part of the interior lining to fray away, which is understandable. They've been machine washed several times, have held up really well (as most NB shoes I've owned have), and still have the ability to look almost new when washed.

The only reason why I didn't give this shoe a 5 star rating is that because of my flat feet, I've had to purchase separate arch supporting inserts beneath the stock insoles. It would be nicer if more of NB's shoes came with built-in arch support but until I can find that right pair, I will spend the extra $5-10 for an orthotic insert.

In conclusion, if you've never tried New Balance shoes, you're missing out! My entire family swears by them & my husband refuses to wear any other athletic shoe. My mother-in-law is a nurse & has had bunion correction surgery, and she is also very supportive of wearing NB's. They're comfortable, stylish, and durable: what more could you ask for?

3.0 out of 5 stars ok, December 5, 2011

These don't fit as well as other New Balances I've had. For some reason they rub my feet in a strange way and have not been breaking in. They're ok, but there are better New Balances.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love these shoes!, September 4, 2011

These are perfect shoes for everyday wear and also for running. I mainly walk and just use them to wear around town. They are stylish, lightweight and not bulky looking on my foot. I hope they don't change this style anytime soon because I will be ordering another pair once I wear these out. I always order 1/2 to 1 size bigger in New Balance.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really comfy, but the mesh wears thru quickly, June 28, 2011
I purchased these shoes to wear while I was working two jobs, on my feet all day at both. One, doing stock at VS, involves lots of lifting, carrying, pushing tables and drawerbases, going up and down ladders, and other activities that you want your feet covered and in comfy shoes for. The other, hostessing in a tiny restaurant that was not large enough to properly accomodate the hotel it was situated in, involved walking/running around constantly as I seated people, found the servers, helped run room service, etc. I would often go from one job to the other, and since I have bad feet and an even worse back, I needed good shoes.

I would often be on my feet for 14+ hours a day, with much less pain than normal, or even expected. My feet hurt less, my back hurt less. Just putting them on feels good, they're a very comfortable shoe. The mesh uppers make them lightweight and breathable.

One con - The mesh wears thru quickly. I have wide feet, mainly in the toe area. My toes look like they're all too big for my foot, and my small toe flares out to the side. This spot on the shoe wore thru in 3 months. That could be fixed by purchasing a wide, but there's more. The spot where my big toe bends up and rubs as I walk wore thru in 4 months. I'm not sure how I could fix that. I ended up buying a second pair, which lasted about the same amount of time. I bought both from JCP, and got a good deal, spending $60 on them when they're normally much more, but that price isn't worth a shoe that doesn't last longer than a few months. If there was a way to avoid the wear at the top of the shoe, where my big toe comes up, I'd buy a wider size and keep wearing them, but I can't think of a way to do that.

1.0 out of 5 stars not pleased, May 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: New Balance Women's WT572 Trail Running Shoe (Apparel)
i was very unhappy with this purchase. not only does the shoes run a half a size small, there is hardly any arch or heel support. "trail" shoes? maybe a sidewalk trail, but not for rocky or uneven terrain. i wore these shoes for 2hrs and couldn't wear them any longer b/c my feet hurt so badly.
