This book compiles many new facts in an easy-to-browse format with lots of bright, attractive photos, illustrations, and computer images. Some of the more intriguing finds include the discovery of dinosaur fossils in polar regions, the realization that some dinos not only cared for their young but may also have sat on their nests, and some new fossils linking dinosaurs and birds. Many of the recent discoveries have come about because scientists are studying dinosaur remains in new ways; for instance, they look at how muscles connected to bone structures to figure out what they looked like, or study fossilized dinosaur dung to figure out what they ate. Because the information is scanty, this would be a poor source for research on any one creature.
