Another outstanding job by Sheila Murray Bethel. Very insightful interviews with admired leaders. As a constant student of success I am always interested in how people have made it to the top. A New Breed Of Leader is required reading for anyone in a leadership position or those that aspire to be. This is a book I will be going back to for adivce and insight on how to run my company.

Dr. Bethel's approach to leadership in a changing world is marvelous. She clearly defines and outlines the 8 requirements of a modern leader with expert perspective, insightful interviews, and relevant stories. Every single page is loaded with useful and enlightening information, as opposed to many of the other books written in the business world that can be summarized in 2 pages. Dr. Bethel truly put her heart into every word and I know that I will read this book over and over many times throughout my life. I applaud Dr. Bethel for a book that belongs on every desk of political leaders and executives around the world.

I read this book before it went to the press and you'd see me endorsing the book. Dr. Bethel has been one of my favorite authors on Leadership. Her new book on the New Breed of Leaders is an inspirational guide to leadership, which thoroughly explains core concepts for every aspiring leader of the 21st century. Dr. Sheila has intricately and meticulously organized the new theory that is easy to read, adopt and follow. It was a humbling and learning experience to read chapter after chapters as she shares a lot of examples from the real-life making the theory even more tangible.

Given all that is going with top leadership around the globe, I think this makes a MUST read for the new generation and adopt to the changing times.

A New Breed of Leader gave me a new perspective on leadership. As a recent college graduate I want to know what separates the good from the great and Sheila Murray Bethel gave me the perspective to do so. The arrangement of her book is what made it such a success. She took 8 puzzle pieces essential to any great leader from competence to humility and gave poignant real world examples. It was clear how each piece interacts with the other and that each piece is crucial. As I read the book it made me realize these leadership qualities apply to everything from business to community life. Another aspect of the book that I found helpful were the quizzes. In every chapter there were quizzes to take in order for you to reflect upon your own attributes and skills. This book had a strong element of interaction which I find that it separates itself from other books on the same subject. Throughout the entire book Sheila Murray Bethel challenges you to remember to constantly reevaluate yourself and that it is never too late to learn or to change. The language in the book was easy to read and had a friendly, sincere tone. This book became my friend that challenged me to change my perspective on leadership and for that I am grateful. As I enter the professional world I will have this book on my desk for years to come as a compass for my professional and personal life.
