New Chapter - Turmericforce, 60 softgels I have been using this product for three years and find that it really helps eliminate my arthritis pain. Since I have been using it, I have had little to no stiffness in my hips and fingers, and rarely have pain in my knees. Please note that you have to take this herb for about three months before you start to see significant results. I have tried other brands of turmeric, and this one seems to be the most effective.

Frist Off: I love New Chapter Products. They are the highest quality I can find. It is rare to hear anything negative about this company.
They even bottle most products in amber glass to decrease plastic.
Turmeric is a long used supplement. It is commonly used for circulation and as a anti-free radical.
I would recommend this product to almost anyone.
Be aware of some drug interactions you should talk to your pharmacist about:
If you are currently being treated with any of the following medications, you should not use turmeric or curcumin in medicinal forms without first talking to your health care provider.
Blood-thinning medications -- Tumeric may make the effects of these drugs stronger, raising the risk of bleeding. Blood-thinners include warfarin (Coumadin), clopidogrel (Plavix), and aspirin, among others.
Drugs that reduce stomach acid -- Turmeric may interfere with the action of these drugs, increasing the production of stomach acid:
*Cimetidine (Tagamet)
*Famotidine (Pepcid)
*Ranitidine (Zantac)
*Esomeprazole (Nexium)
*Omeprazole
*Lansoprazole (Prevacid)
Drugs for diabetes (that lower blood sugar) -- Turmeric may make the effects of these drugs stronger, increasing the risk of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar).

I used this product for a flare-up of a chronic eye disease called uveitis. It's the inflammation of the uvea. For the past 18 years, my occasional, yet painful flares have only been successfully treated by steriod eye drops. I recently learned of tumeric. For some reason my inflammation last spring did not respond to the eye drops. I tried tumeric after stumbling on it in a google search. In less than 3 weeks, my symptoms were completely gone and I was off the eye drops. I have never experienced a remission as rapid. I only took 3 pills per day. After speaking to a rep in Vitamin Shoppe, I learned that all brands are not created equal. New Chapter apparently has a unique extraction process that makes it more potent. Of course amazon has the best prices!
