A Whole, Naturally Pure Fish Oil with a Clear Difference

If you take a “purified” fish oil capsule, you’re not getting the 17 whole, natural omegas and the naturally occurring antioxidants and vitamins your body looks for—the ones only a whole, naturally pure, extra-virgin fish oil like Wholemega Whole Fish Oil can deliver. That’s because conventional “purified” fish oils use chemical processing that can destroy what Nature created. The truth is, the best sources of vital omegas also happen to be the purest—wild, cold-water fish like the Wild Alaskan Salmon. Wholemega fish oil delivers 100% Wild Alaskan Salmon from the pristine, protected waters of Alaska directly to you. In fact, taking the daily serving of Wholemega (2g/day) for a week provides the same amount of whole omega fatty acids as three servings of Wild Alaskan Salmon.

The Health Benefits of Whole Omegas
A heart healthy Wholemega golden fish oil drop in the shape of a heart

The omega fatty acids in fish oil offer many health benefits. Fish oil is rich in Omega-3’s and, according to the American Heart Association, salmon has more than twice the Omega-3 fatty acids as other seafoods. Omega 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9’s are fatty acids found in wild fish and often referred to as “good fats.” Why so good? Primarily because omegas are present and play an important role in every human cell. Specifically, omega fatty acids serve to nourish brain, heart, eye, and kidney tissues.* They have been shown to benefit cardiovascular, immune, and digestive health in addition to supporting a healthy metabolism and inflammation response.*

Heart Healthy Fish Oil with Clinical Results

New Chapter’s Wholemega Whole Fish Oil has been clinically shown to improve triglyceride levels—a key marker of heart health—in as few as 14 days.* Triglycerides are a form of stored fat found in the bloodstream and body tissues. Keeping these levels in a healthy range is important for helping support the health of the heart and blood vessels.*

Pure vs. “Purified”—the Difference is Clear

The dull, yellow hue of conventional fish oils is symbolic of products that have been molecularly distilled, fractionated, isolated, and processed (“purified”). Conventional fish oils are “purified” to remove toxins, PCB’s, or heavy metals and to “standardize” for only Omega 3 levels. This heavy processing can strip them of Nature’s whole basket of Omega fatty acids, as well as other beneficial nutrients.

Wholemega is 100% Wild Salmon Oil, from protected Alaskan fisheries harboring some of the world’s cleanest stocks of fish. The result is pure, extra-virgin fish oil (think of fine olive oil) that retains Nature’s whole complement of vital Omegas, as well as natural Vitamin D3 and a rich amber color from the antioxidant Astaxanthin.

The difference is clear: Wholemega's rich amber color from natural beneficial compounds contrasts with the dull, yellow hue of conventional "purified" fish oil.
Wildly Pure Whole Fish Oil Plus Tonic Herbs

New Chapter is the recognized leader in delivering the holistic benefit of supercritically extracted natural herbals that target and support key health conditions. They are proud to introduce a pioneering new family of formulas that combines tonic herbs with whole fish oil; maximizing the properties of both. Each new formula combines a clinical dose of Wholemega Whole Fish Oil with full-spectrum herbs that support key areas of health.

All Wholemega formulas contain Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil that comes from protected, recognized sustainable fisheries. This extra-virgin oil comes from only 100% wild fish stocks and does not include genetically modified or farmed salmon. All of New Chapter’s herbal blends are reviewed and Non-GMO Project Verified.

I love this product! I call it my "happy pill". I have been on different high quality fish oils for a few years. I knew I should take the fish oil for the health benefits but never noticed anything different when I forgot to take it or when off of it for awhile. I tried this product because I had a coupon. Within two weeks, I noticed a huge difference! I didn't have the mood swings I normally experience with my monthly cycle(which is very significant at our house!) and I seemed to have more energy throughout the day. I am on quite a vitamin regimin to help combat my PMS symptoms but this is the first time I have seen such an amazing difference. My whole family agrees that I will not be without this product, so I order this through Amazon's subscribe and save program and save money every month!

This supplement is good for people who do NOT get enough nuts, greens, and fish on a daily basis.

Wholemega is not a substitute for Omega 3 supplements that provide higher amounts of EPA and DHA.

These capsules are a bit of a challenge to swallow (I recommend something thick like Slimfast or V8) and can give a bit of a fishy aftertaste.

I take both the Wholemega and Omega 3 supplements daily (for a total of 2 grams of Omega oils) but have to watch for low blood pressure and excessive bleeding because I already eat a diet high in salmon, nuts, and greens.

I've only taken the Wholemega for a couple of weeks but the most obvious changes from five years of Omega 3 supplements have been thicker hair growth and fewer problems with osteoarthritis. My heart is healthy and my vision and memory haven't gotten any worse but the supplements haven't prevented recurring skin cancers.

Nutrition Action has a great article online titled "Omega Medicine? - Is fish oil good for what ails you?" Here's their bottom line:

So far, there's decent evidence that DHA and EPA--the omega-3 fats in fish oil--can reduce your risk of a heart attack, but not your risk of cancer, memory loss, or macular degeneration.
- Eat fatty fish like salmon twice a week. That would supply 500 to 1,000 mg a day of DHA plus EPA.
- If you're a vegetarian, look for foods or supplements with DHA from algal oil.
- If you have heart disease, follow the American Heart Association's advice to take 1,000 mg a day of DHA + EPA from fish oil. If you have side effects like burping, take them at bedtime or ask your doctor for a prescription for pure fish oil.
- Taking more than 3,000 mg a day of DHA plus EPA may cause bleeding.

I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD BE WRITING A REVIEW FOR FISH OIL SUPPLEMENTS.

I started taking these in JUNE 2012 while going through a divorce and an expensive, stressful custody battle for my son (I am the father).

Somewhere I read that fish oil supplements can help with excessive stress, anxiety, fatigue etc.

These fish oil caps helped me keep a clear head while not getting enough sleep for MANY MONTHS. I was amazed how effective this product was FOR ME. With the help of a great lawyer and this product my custody battle results turned out very well.

When my wife was pregnant her doctor recommended taking fish oil supplements. Well my boy is 5 years old now. He is very healthy and smart. So, the medical community believes there is something to be gained for the growing fetus.

Fish taste: Some if you don't take these at the beginning or halfway through a meal. I actually am glad there is a fish taste, because that means the fish oil is unlikely to be over-processed.

Fish Burps: Yes, sometimes. None if you take them at the beginning of a meal and/or empty stomach.

Large capsule: True, but they slide down my throat without water. Very easy to swallow.

I continue to take these daily and always keep extra stock on hand.

Price is good: at the recommended 2 per day the 120 count bottle will last 2 months at $22-$25 per bottle. (I save more now: 20% with subscribe and save and 5 items per month)

I am an experienced electronic engineer and believe in what works. Vitamins and supplements are one of those things that sound like a good idea but often lack positive measurable results. These caps helped me a lot and I will continue to take them indefinitely.

Just received my 3rd bottle. I've taken fish oil NOT made from salmon and it is much stinkier and less effective than this salmon oil. I barely notice the fish smell from these, and when I do I actually enjoy it as I know it's making me feel better. I've also tried flax seed oil, but it was not effective at all. The anti-inflammatory benefits are what is most noticeable, the other benefits are less obvious but still well worth it.

For example, I'm vitamin D deficient, along with the majority of people today due to lack of sunlight. I'm currently taking these 2 daily: New Chapter Wholemega 1,000mg - Fish Oil (Salmon Oil) Softgels & Vitamin D3 GOLD - 2,000 IU (360 Softgels) Naturally Sourced Preservative-free Vitamin D. Salmon oils are important because they have the most and strongest omega3s of all the fish oils, small amounts of natural vitamin D (about 100IU), and the included fat content is crucial for ingested vitamin D to be absorbed. To make up for lack of adequate sunlight you need a lot more than 100IU, I took 5000IU at first, to get back to normal. So I take a 2000IU vitamin D NOW olive oil filled softgel simultaneously with my 1000mg Wholemega salmon oil softgel. It works well every time I do this, the two have great synergy I feel happier and more energized everyday then before when I was taking just fish oil. It's the same as when I spent a day in the sun as a kid, a satisfying and uplifting feeling.
