5.0 out of 5 stars what a relief!
I have a ganglion cyst on my wrist that was causing me a great amount of discomfort whenever I moved my wrist a certain way. I've been taking 2-3 zyflamends a day and in less than one week, the pain was gone. These pills also help my mother with her arthritis that she was previously taking Aleve for. 3.0 out of 5 stars Beware 180 capsule package -Misleading
The 120 capsule version clearly states 2 caps per serving - so 60 doses.

But the 180 bottle leaves that off. You'd assume it's 50% more, although oddly at a slightly lower price. I figured it was an inventory or promotion issue or something.

Wrong! The 180 cap version is SIX caps per serving, vs. two.

So the 180 cap bottle only...

They greatly help with my husband's back pain. I can't recommend these enough. Just take with your meals to make sure no upset stomach occurs. By the way, I'm quite tiny and easily get upset stomachs from medications. As long as I take these with food, I'm fine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Helped my PSA, October 10, 2006

I purchased Zyflamend based on Columbia University studies involving prostate cancer. Coincidentally or not, my PSA came down from a scary 3.9 to under 2.0 the last two years. Don't know if I am whistling past the graveyard, but I continue to take.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect as part of a maintenance program, June 17, 2008

I suffered a severe spinal injury in 1997 and have had to take some kind of a NSAID medication on a daily basis. 2 years ago I began suffering from vertigo and hearing loss in my left ear...after several medical consultations and research I learned that NSAIDs are well known for these side effects. I've been taking Zyflamend for 90 days and immediately noticed the vertigo dissapating and I've gained 50% of my hearing back (hearing test conducted in May). The 180 pack is perfect for me since I don't need the full recommended dosage and only take 2 a day. No swelling, stiffness and the best part...no pain in my lower back! According to a Columbia University study (ended in 2005) this product actually helps prevent cancerous cells from developing in the prostrate. That alone is worth the price.

Wrong! The 180 cap version is SIX caps per serving, vs. two.

So the 180 cap bottle only contains 30 servings, half of what the 120 cap bottle has. Very misleading.

They do include the term "easy" in that version; OK so the pills are much smaller and therefore maybe easier to swallow if you have some type of problem. I see that now. But for most people having to take 6 pills at a time is odd and a bit annoying.

I do think it's a good product and will buy it again, but somebody needs to fix the product listing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Seems to be working, August 6, 2010
This review is from: New Chapter - Zyflamend 180 Easycaps (Health and Beauty)
It's always so hard to tell if an anti-inflammation product or diet is working because inflammation is caused by so many different things, but I have noticed a difference since taking Zyflamend. I have a rheumatoid-type of disorder that causes severe inflammation in my joints, especially my pelvic spine. It's worse after sitting for a long time or sleeping. Most of the time in the morning I can't move my back or legs without experiencing searing pain. I have to slowly start moving and stretching through the pain and eventually, once the joints are limbered up, the pain subsides and I can get out of bed relatively pain-free.

After several days of using this supplement along with seriously curtailing my sugar/carbohydrate intake, I noticed that I was waking up with only very minor pain and minimal stiffness. This is a major big deal for me! Is it the Zyflamend or the carbohydrate reduction? Or both? I don't know, but I'm not willing to stop either to find out!

1.0 out of 5 stars Misleading quantity, August 25, 2005
By
Dog Mom (Charlottesville, VA) - See all my reviews
I had previously bought this same product in a 60 quantity package. I am pleased with the actual product (see my previous review of "Zyflamend Softgels - 60 count quantity). However, this vendor did not outline that the dosage for this 180 count package was 3 times the dosage of the 60 count. I thought that I was buying a discounted item, but, essentially, I paid $7.00 more for this purchase and got the same amount of product ($19.00 for this purchase and $12.00 for the previous purchase). There were no savings on shipping, therefore, I feel I was mislead and overcharged! My advice: Buyer Beware! Read all info and do not trust these vendors outright!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great product, March 7, 2010

Within days I noticed the standard Zyflamend was taking my arthritis pain down a notch, but I was a bit wired using the standard version 3 times a day. So tried Zyflamend PM for my 3rd dose at night and now sleep like a baby.

1.0 out of 5 stars Misleading Quantity, November 21, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Dosage is 6 softgels per serving that is the same as 2 softgels in the first order that I made. So what appears to be a good deal is actually 30% higher in cost. There is nothing in the description of the easycaps to tell the consumer that the dosage per cap is lower. I consider this deceptive and I will not buy this size again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good product, but watch which size softgels you buy, May 24, 2011

I've been taking this for months and it's a good product. Rather than buy again from the acupuncturist, I thought I'd save some money by buying it from Amazon. There were many listings for various package sizes from various sources on Amazon - all Zyflamend, but under several brand names based upon who packaged it. Nowhere is there a note to tell you that these softgels come in different sizes. However, if you read the directions in the text, and ASSUME that the several different packagers selling this product all recommend the same total amount of Zyflamend per day, you can decode how many softgels constitute a "serving". Without this information it's impossible to compare value for price when choosing which package to buy.

What I bought turned out to require 3 softgels to be equivalent to the 1 per serving I was taking under a different package. This was still a little cheaper than buying from the acupuncturist, but not nearly the deal it appeared to be. I'd have been better able to evaluate all the different brands and packages offered if I'd realized that different sizes of softgels existed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Please Read Reviews To See How People Use This Successfully For Inflammation, August 8, 2010
*****
I think that Zyflamend is a good alternative to powerful NSAIDs. I peridically take Etodolac XL for acute back pain, and recently substituted Zyflamend. What I noticed was not an immediate analgesic effect like the medication; however WITH STEADY USE I did notice a positive result. It took me a couple of weeks to tell for sure, and then I tested it by going on and off. I will continue with Zyflamend on an ongoing basis instead of taking the medication when I am in pain and then going off of it. I think that this is the way that the Zyflamend works best to reduce inflammation.

I didn't notice any problems with digestive upset or burning, but I always took it on a full stomach just in case, since my stomach is sensitive. The softgel capsule is rather large, though I didn't have any problem with that either, but people who have problems swallowing pills should know that.

I would recommend it for people to take and to experiment with it, using their medication as backup, and with their physician's supervision of course. In my case my problem is not so severe that I go to a doctor every time I have an episode, and I think it works best for people with problems like this. People who are already on strong pain medications and NSAIDs and under a doctor's care should of course first check with her or him.

Zyflamend has been tested in studies and shown to be effective. New Chapter is a wonderful company with outstanding products. I like using products like this because they support the body and contribute to whole body health instead of tearing the body down.

Highly recommended.
