A breath of fresh air! Spectacular!,

Luciano is wonderful as always. I recommend this to anybody no matter what race, or religion you might be. His music is so spiritual and uplifting and life enhancing, he's not an artist to pass up. A couple nights ago I was blessed to get a chance to meet this man in person after a concert. Let me just say if you ever see him in concert, or better yet meet him, I promise you'll walk away feeling like a whole new person, like your soul has taken a breath of fresh air. Every worry, or negative feeling is gone and it stays with you. Those who have seen him know what I'm talking about. In the meantime, pick up this album!Jah guide and bless!

The Messenjah delivers.,

Luciano failed to appear at a recent concert in London where he was due to headline with Junior Kelly, so I consoled myself with this CD. It's a great consolation. He never fails to touch my heart with his urgent vocals and determined faith in the good of mankind. Beginning with a Nyahbinghi chant, 'No Night in Zion' sets the mood giving praises to the Father. I love this CD. Along with his previous release 'Great Controversy' it can't leave my stereo for the past two weeks. 'African Skies', 'Father I Love Thee' on the Sitting and Watching rhythm and so many more. If you have only one Luciano CD in your collection it must be lonely. Buy this one. If you are like me and have a multi CD player and more than one Luciano CD put them all on and relax in spiritual joy and love. I am going to play it right now. There is a message in there for you.

Luciano.' no night in Zion. Yeah I believe no night there, It really touches souls and brings back the sweet memories of our old men in Africa who once said could you only know a bout the true light that keeps illuminating the inner most soul then you could tell how much happiness could be in Zion cause he guides our path by this light to reach him the most high and also one said in Zion praising and singing is what living will be all about, there will be no more wars and struggles like what we could experience here in Sudan. Hunger will not be an enemy to our young ones and the love ones.Jah bless them who have spiritual glasses to look through the path. Among all the reggae songs, I highly recommend Luciano's` No Night In Zion as the most spiritual song, though it is too hard for some people to see through Zion yet there must be a hint in mind and soul about how it is in Zion unless one is not conscious or living in Darkness that he or she could not see within them souls. Jah bless reggae and may the message prevail like a sharp double-edged sword that penetrates souls. ONE LOVE. Did you find this review helpful? Yes No

Wow.That's the first thing I must say.If any critics of Luciano heard this they would surely find new careers and quit such foolish behaviour on their part. This man is on a mission and Jah is definitely riding with him to accomplish it.The first track,"No Night In Zion" lets you know this will be no average album and by the time you hear "Traveler","African Skies","Hardcore" and "Journey" you will be lighting up a blunt to listen to the entire album again and be sure what you heard was real.Every song is great but some are greater.Awesome lyrics by The Messenjah himself and impressive music accompaniment from Dean "Cannon" Frazer, Sly Dunbar and crew ensured that a timeless album was created.Even those not yet seeing the light of H.I.M. Haile Sellassie I should appreciate this.As for the title track,I'm simply unable to describe what it means to me but I will show it via the inspiration it has given me.Stop reading this and go get this for yourself. It may inspire you too to change your life.

Once again, a fabulous CD from this inspirational reggae artist! Luciano is always a sure bet for nice, loose reggae grooves you can relax to, dance to, or just listen to... I've already incorporated this one into a permanent slot on my CD changer. Highly recommend!

No night in Zion,

This is my 2nd copy of this. Girlfriend lost my 1st. She's now my ex.
As with many of the 'artistes riding the crest of the Roots Reggae Resurgance, 'Jah Messenjah' Luciano's output is prolific and is spread across many labels. Don't ask me why. It's just the way the business seems to go these days. However, unlike many of the other pretenders, with the 'Messenjah', you pretty much know where you stand, and this one does exactly what it says on the tin. As pointed out by previous reviewers, the opening track 'No night in Zion' is overwhelming with it's sparseness, Nyabinghi undertones and direct message, and sets the tone for an uplifting experience of righteousness that is honestly pretty rare in today's age of commercialism. The opening tarck serves as an intro to a sublime statement of gratitude to

This is one of the finest records I have ever heard. Its spiritual intensity is astonishing. I'd put it right up there with Marley's "Natty Dread" and, from outside reggae, Duke Ellington's "Concert of Sacred Music" and Mahalia Jackson's early work on Columbia. The first two songs are soul-stirring classics. But my favorite song may be "Only a Fool", which is a riff on Psalm 14. Who's the end of time? Jah, and only Jah.
There is, by the way, a lot of Christian imagery here. You have to know your bible to hear it. (Luciano obviously knows his.) I've not encountered much such imagery in spiritual reggae before. Perhaps that is because so much of the public image of Christianity nowadays would, well, not exactly match the sort of message reggae artists are spreading. It's therefore very refreshing to hear Luciano incorporating the gospels into his music. This record will repay repeated close listening. Buy it, hear it, live it, and love it.

For all devouted Reggae Music lovers, this CD will invoke the deepest emotions from your soul with its spiritual messages. His voice is sweeter to the ears than that of the nightingale;his potent messages resonate in the mind continuosly. This has undoubtedly placed Luciano atop my favorite Reggae artists. The opening track "no night in zion" is a must-hear for every Rasta - It sounds perfectly to be adopted as Rastafarian Anthem.
