Whether you are a fan, or just interested in the music of the Eagles, this is the book you need! More than 65 of their greatest and well known songs (including some rarer live performances) are laid out in sheet music form, showing chords, shapes, tempo and full lyrics. Very easy to follow and play, and not encumbered with pages of non relevant information, this is a pure musicians aid, rather than anything else. Alphabetical contents page helps you jump straight to selected favorites, and although some songs run over 6 pages in sheet form, which can be a little distracting and disruptive when trying to follow with guitar, this is a great buy. Anyone who has ever purchased individual songs in sheet form will also enjoy the exceptional value for money of this collection.

Published in '95, this compilation has a good selection of classic eagles hits ( and some more obscure ones ), and 5 from "Hell Freezes Over". Songs are ordered cronologically, and indexed in the front alphabetically. All songs have three lines of notes : bass, harmony and melody as well as the guitar chord and fingering notations. The only thing that seems to be missing is guitar tabs for solos, etc. Overall, a good find.

Any Eagles fan should own this book. Has every song in it! The arrangements are really good, and the book is attractive if you want to give it as a gift. You'll not want to put it down until you've played every song in it!

Not exactly easy play, but the scores are written easy enough for most to play.

This was a wonderful, easy to follow book with lots of songs in it and it opens well so that you can turn the pages while playing and still maintain some continuity. Very nice. I bought it for my grandson, however my son liked it too. They both play the guitar so they will get equal pleasure from it.

I wanted this book because it lays flat and you don't have to put something on the edge of the page to hold it in place while you play. Very much worth the extra expense! Now I can look up the words to Eagles songs and sing along with my CD until I learn to play it on the guitar.

Just a brief note to other bass players...this book does not include the real bass lines. A lot of these lines are false. It is rather worthless if you want to reproduce Schmit's actual lines.

My fault for not checking

I purchased this songbook with lyrics for my 80 year-old mother at her request so she can sing along with the Eagles' Farewell 1 Tour in Melbourne DVD I bought for myself but have since relinquished to her because it makes her so happy!! My mother is an Eagles junkie!!! Now I have to purchase another DVD for myself! It's GREAT!

It does have a lot of songs in it, but it doesn't state that is in the 'Easy Guitar Chords, Easy Piano' type, no arrangements at all.
