I have two cats and both of them wear this collar. I am a pretty finicky owner and I went with this one as it is soft, breathable, and thin enough that my cats are still comfortable when they turn their necks. I don't like the stiff, nylon collars and they make one of my cats super fussy - he just sits and claws at them till they come off.

I have this collar in blue and red - the indigo is a navy blue and the red is more cranberry - both colors are very nice. The collar has a break-away safety latch that comes undone with a firm yank, just as it should. I posted a picture of my cat Henrietta wearing hers, she is indoor / outdoor and has not lost it in months.

I will say that these collars probably don't last as long as their nylon counterparts. You might start to see threads coming loose and you have to tighten it up every few months as it stretches just a little bit. Still, they look great and both my cats seem really comfortable with them.

KV Pet was the seller on my purchase and I paid less than $5 for each collar - way less than they wanted at my local store.

Wow, it lasted about 3 days. Found it on the driveway, breakaway was already broken. What else to say? I won't get another one!

I have been using the soy breakaway cat collars for years, and wouldn't use anything else. They don't shred off long threads like the polyester types do (which I worry about those threads getting into my cat's system) and are soft and pliable so they don't interfere with his range of motion. When they fail it's usually at the plastic clasp, which happens with the other kinds as well. And the colors are nice and earth-toned, to benefit your more image-conscious kitty! 5 stars all the way around (and I'm going to post this on ALL color versions to spread the word, though my kitty prefers the Blue and Red colors)...

** And if your kitty is not into Bells, which mine is not, I actually remove the Bell -- just take a pair of needle-nose pliers and squeeze/twist until it breaks off.

Bought this collar 5+ years ago for my petite 5lb cat. She is still using the same one we bought her. We occasionally find her naked but I suspect it worked as it should in letting her escape. My kitty is indoor only but wears a collar/id tag in case she gets out. It also is very soft and hasn't rubbed her fur off around her neck like the nylon collars tend to do.
