5.0 out of 5 stars A musical "massage for the soul..."
I have listened to this album several times, but it really hit home when I recently heard it through the headphones of my Walkman while basking in the sun on a hot Caribbean beach. As it turns out, I could have saved the airfare... Put this album on, close your eyes and let the music take you away - it really is exceptional! (Jazzbo types might scoff at its...

2.0 out of 5 stars Mediocre at best
With all the hoohaa about the duo, this CD came as somewhat of a dissappointment. The compositions were average and lacked imagination. Good for background music when you are not paying too much attention but nothing exciting hear.

(Jazzbo types might scoff at its mainstream sensibilities, but don't let them discourage you!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Rich, technical, & soulful... musicians will appreciate this, September 17, 1998

I have all their albums to date, except for their newest release (May 1998) and without a doubt in my mind, this is their best over all album. Especially when you read the liner notes do you appreciate the meaning behind the music, as well as the experience and creativity of these musicians. Truly, this album would be appreciated by all, but especially by musicians themselves. It's a pity we lost Nick Webb during the production of their latest album

5.0 out of 5 stars fabulous, June 14, 1998
This review is from: New Edge (Audio CD)
This cd is balanced, highly listenable, and at moments, profoundly moving. There are also "lighten up" moments in it--moments of real musical wit (rare these days). Brilliant execution, of course, and compositionally solid but never dull. Much much better than most in its genre--whoever these people are (I confess I had never heard of them til this album) they are *terrific*.

Thank you so much for the fast service. I was leaving town shortly after I ordered my CD and had hoped to receive before departing, the CD arrived prior to leaving town and was able to bring cd with me. I enjoyed my CD while out of town.

Great music for working around the house, yard, garden or just sitting around veggitating. Has many different styles of playing some mellow some upbeat but a great mix...buy it... you'll like!

5.0 out of 5 stars reminds me..., March 20, 2004

this reminds me... of a guitarist called Gordon Giltrap, back in the 70s. I was involved in a UK commercial radio station called "Radio Tees" c 1975. Mr. Giltrap did the intro music and some jingle "beds". I lived in that area at the time and got hooked into that music. Gordon Giltrap did a few albums at that time, including "Perilous Journey", "Visionary", "Fear of the Dark", all superb, difficult to find now. But it captured an era for me. When I heard some of AA's music it brought it all back, acoustic guitar with meaning, something that you could "get into...", smooth guitar music but with progression, going somewhere.

Now got most of AAs back catalog as I reminds me... but adds to things I remember and moves on. Gordon would be proud of it. Never quite found out what happened to Gordon Giltrap...
