A friend gave me this beautiful book as a birthday gift. It has been the perfect thing to keep next to my chair and to pick up and read a bit at a time, since each house gets its own short chapter. I love reading about the homes and the interesting people who lived there. It makes me want to visit all of these places!

Fabulous. The photography is so beautiful , and the historical narrative contains all kinds of good 'bits and pieces'. One can use it as a travel guide as well. Dynamite job !!!
