How does Bel Ami do it? Or, come to that, the Bruno Gmunder imprint?

Firstly, let me deal with the quality of the book. Like all Bruno GMunder books this is printed on very high quality paper, in good rigid covers, and is quite sumptuous. Especially at this price!.

Then the boys! Where can one start? There must be a Johann Paulik of the future within these covers. The quality of the imagary, the poses, the lighting, the sets and the boys are quite, quite stupendous.

If you're after hairy muscle hunks this book will not be your cup of tea. If your taste is more towards the gym-toned (yet not over-developed) younger, smoother kind of man/boy, then you'll be in 7th heaven with this book.

The slightly hazy, misty kind of photography and the lighting bear a resemblance to the work of David Hamilton, albeit that he photographed young girls and women rather than boys and men. Nonetheless, I am struck by the slightly ethereal 'other-worldly' nature of Bel Ami's work.

Well worth adding to your collection.

I have to say most of the pictures in this book were good, however I would've liked to see more models. Basically, there were only about ten guys, and each got about four pages of pictures, the first two usually with clothes on, the last two naked. Fully naked. But unlike other nude photography books, I'd say every guy in this book had a nice body. A shame it couldn't have had more pages and more guys.

The price of this book after shipping and handling was 18.08. I had 1.92 left from a gift card, after applying the gift card it was 16.16. Ok, not bad, of course I was expecting a book that was at least 8.5x11. I received a paperback book that was like 4x4 or 5x5 and 10 to 15 pages long. I was expecting more. I wanted more. I am going to have keep an eye on this small book, if I don't I am likly to throw it into the trash with other papers and garbage.
