After buying so many lame 'drummer' CD's I was more than a little skeptical before I bought this. It's absolutely amazing. Incredible music and even more incredible drumming. I'm going to practice...

TOMMY IGOE GOING OFF!!,

First of all, where the heck did this guy come from and how did he get so good? Tommy Igoe is actually a highly respected drummer in the New York scene. He was the drummer for the highly acclaimed Broadway show, The Lion King. He's what you call a "Pit Guy". On this CD, he is playing with some of New York's finest studio musicians. All one take, no overdubs, no special filtering, ALL KILLER, NO FILLER, IN YOUR FACE jamming music. This is easily some of the finest drumming ever recorded. He is up there with Dave Weckl and Vinnie Colaiuta. What can I say? This CD is in every sense of the word, "World Class". I highly recommend this CD to all drumming fans, and all music fans, period.

What Tommy Igoe and the group of musicians he surrounded himself with did on this recording is musical perfection!NOBODY has covered the bases of differnet styles of music on a single record better than Tommy! His drumming is flawless!! I have heard and seen alot of the heavyweights over the years, and for my money, NOBODY is better than Igoe. It's a shame really that he still has not received the recognition he so richly deserves! The tune "The Sultan Fainted" is worth the price alone! New Ground was indeed broken with the release of this cd! Thank you Tommy, for GREAT music!
