When sixteen-year-old Amanda White's parents are diagnosed with diabetes and she herself faces the difficult challenge of needing to lose weight to stay healthy, she wonders if she'll ever succeed. But with the support of her family and best friends, she discovers there's much more to her than just being the "fun girl" of the group, and she learns to respect herself and her new lifestyle.
Things only get better when the rock band Millennium comes to Denver for spring break to ski and give a concert...and Amanda's dad offers them an invitation to stay at her house for the week! Already living every girls' dream, she can hardly believe it when keyboardist Casey McCord falls as hard for her as she does for him. With her newfound confidence, Amanda realizes all her hard work has been worth the effort, and her life has adjusted to a new harmony.
