The second time I made them, I made a few additions and they were wonderful.

This mix does not taste as good as "the real thing", but since you can have it without having to go into carb-overload it is sometimes just right.
Rob Bennett
We follow a low carb lifestyle and it is wonderful to have breakfast bread again.

Ok so I ordered this product from one of the low carb websites(forget which one) and was skeptical since I had tried a 'low carb' blueberry mix one time before and it was wretched. It was like eating a blueberry-flavored shoe..blech! I looked around online before making these to see if anyone was recommending making it differently than the box suggested. I found that some people were saying to add some packets of splenda to the mix and use butter instead of oil(previous reviewer...that must be the key!)..so I did just that and baked them at the minimum time(17 min). YOWZA!! These are delicious!! I had 3(don't judge me...I could've eaten 6!lol)..the first 2 by themselves. They're so fluffy and moist that you don't need to add anything. That being said, with the 3rd one, I decided to mix things up a bit and add some of my sugar-free strawberry preserves(smucker's brand) and it just took it to a whole new level of awesome. I am so impressed with this stuff! Apparently, I also need to try the cranberry orange ones too because I've read really good reviews about them! I think my only complaint with the blueberry muffins is that I wish there were a bit more blueberries. And if that's the only complaint about low-carb blueberry muffins...then all is right with the world. ;)

I was very satisfied with another product by New Hope Mills called sugar free pancake mix, so I wanted to try a different product this time. Without being aware of the orange/cranberry muffin mix receiving better reviews, I went ahead and purchased this blueberry muffin mix instead.

The sugar free part indeed holds its promise. I tested my blood glucose one hour after eating a blueberry muffin, it did not raise my BG much at all. The taste part is somewhat weird. It has a strange after-taste that I don't know how to describe. I had my 2nd muffin with little fruit jelly to cover up the after taste, but then it kinda lost the point of having low carb desserts!! Perhaps I will add splenda and use butter next time when I bake the rest mix.

This is a great product but Amazon is charging way too much.

you can get it at netrition.com for half that amount.

you can get three boxes from manufacturer for this price.

what a ripoff.

I like the fact that you can make muffins or bread from this mix - it has instructions for both. I prefer bread to muffins.

This tastes pretty good to me. Is it the best blueberry muffin mix I've ever had. Nope but it is the best blueberry low carb/sugar free muffin I've ever had. I didn't really notice an aftertaste like some reviewers mentioned. I thought it tasted good and was a nice treat along with a cup of coffee.

This is somewhat dense though not "heavy" if that makes sense. Meaning it doesn't feel like you swallowed a rock that just sits in your stomach and won't digest very easily. Also, the bread holds together pretty well which makes it easy to slice as thin as you want (mostly).

Perhaps the best thing about this mix aside from the fact that it's diabetic friendly (I'm a T2 diabetic) is that the recipe is super easy and used only 1/2 cup of oil, 2 eggs and 1 cup of water. I have some other mixes that I really like but they call for sour cream, eggs, egg whites, milk and it means I use 4 eggs total to make and then have to figure out what to do with the 2 extra yolks. Usually I just scramble them but it's a pain when I may not really feel like having scrambled eggs. Mostly I don't mind that too much but it's nice to have a version that doesn't require so much extra "stuff" and separating eggs, etc.

I'm definitely going to buy more of this and would love to try the Cranberry Orange mix. Wish they also made banana bread or a chocolate muffin mix.

Addendum 8/29/2014: Note that my husband just told me today that he's not too fond of this. He said it doesn't really taste like much - not enough blueberry flavor for him. I still like it but for those who like more flavor, you might want to just buy one box to try before ordering a bunch to see if you like it or maybe buy some blueberry flavoring to mix in.

The first time I made these, I was blown away with the wonderful texture but not so much with the taste. I didn't really taste the blueberry or much of anything. The second time I made them, I made a few additions and they were wonderful. I added 10 drops of liquid Splenda (I used the stuff called EZ Sweet in the 0.5ml bottles which supposedly equal to 2 tsp of granulated Splenda per drop but I don't really think it's that strong), added 1.5 teaspoon lemon extract and 1 tablespoon of poppy seeds. I don't know that the poppy seeds really add much taste but I used to make lemon blueberry muffins with poppy seeds and loads of carbs that I really liked. I think you could also use some lemon flavored DaVinci sugar-free syrup in place of an equal amount of water for a similar result. I thought of adding DaVinci SF blueberry syrup but not sure I want to eat bright blue muffins! These haven't been available on Amazon for several weeks so I had to defect and order some from Netrition.

I got this mix after being on low-carb diet for a few months. I baked bread and it came out very nice looking and tasting. I was happy that now I could have a slice of this bread with my morning coffee. But could not enjoy it enough as my kids liked it so much they just eat it all. We always have a supply of cookies and sweets at home but they preferred my low-carb blueberry bread.
