An Informative, Interesting and Accessible Read, May 26, 2009
This review is from: The New Inquisition: Understanding and Managing Intellectual Freedom Challenges (Paperback)
This book was assigned for class reading in my Library and Information Studies program. This book was fascinating. LaRue's method of meeting challenges with an attitude of service was inspiring. I read the reserve copy of the book, but now I'm buying my own copy because I know I'll want to reread.

Excellent Applications, Easy Read, January 19, 2009
This review is from: The New Inquisition: Understanding and Managing Intellectual Freedom Challenges (Paperback)
I ordered this book as an optional textbook for a library class on intellectual freedom. It is painless and entertaining to read, provides practical application examples and solutions for challenge issues librarians might encounter, and gives a short but thorough historic background of IF in the US. This is a keeper, and if I work in a public library I will using the sample letters as models for my own responses to complaints.
