This is one of the best books I bought when I decided to do my own flowers for my wedding.

This is not a book for a pro though. It works best for a beginner like me. It explains nicely step by step how to make the arrangements. It could give more information but even still, there is no better book. There is a first version that I bought and together I got some great ideas.

This book was fantastic! It helped beginners create beautiful bouquets, corsages and table arrangements. Great results! It saved us a great deal of money!

Thanks to this book and her other book "Creative Wedding Florals You Can Make" I have been able to make flowers (bouquets, corsages, bouts, etc.) for 4 of my friends' weddings so far. Now I've been asked to do a fifth by an acquaintance. The author does a very good job giving step-by-step instructions on how to make exact arrangements, which I greatly needed in the beginning. I still refer to her books, but now can adapt what I've learned to other arrangements.

I especially like the "hidden reservoir" trick that she teaches that helps you know how to make a bouquet look like it has long stems, but really uses a floral foam holder to help the flowers last longer. Another thing I refer to all the time is her flower chart in this book. It not only shows flowers, but also some greenery.

I highly recommend both of these books for DIY'ers like me! I like their helpful pictures. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because there is so much more a DIY'er could learn. I know you can't stick everything in one book and still have detailed instructions and helpful photos. I wish she would make another detailed book with other wedding party floral ideas. I'd also love to see a book that included how to store and prep flowers before arranging, and an even more detailed chart about flowers, greenery, and the pros and cons for them. I've had to learn that on the internet. I think a book like that would be well received.

Overall, a great book!
