A fantastic basic guide and overview of Ayn Rand's philosophical ideas and principles., September 3, 2009
This review is from: For The New Intellectual (Hardcover)
For the New Intellectual covers the main speeches of several of her novels, the longest and most detailed coming from her fantastic book, Atlas Shrugged. John Galt's speech provides an overview of the philosophical base from which Objectivism is based. In my opinion, it is important to actually read all her novels to fully understand the context of each of the speeches presented. However, the introductory section of this great book, which deals with mysticism and its harm to society, is worth the price of the book alone.
In conclusion, if you are concerned with ideas and how collectivism is ruining the world, this is a book that must be read and studied.
Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Never Trust a Politician).
