5.0 out of 5 stars Boatloads of useful information, A MUST HAVE, December 2, 2005
This review is from: The New Jersey Boat Fisherman (Paperback)
Finally! A book made to catch fish. This book is filled so many tarsty fishing morsels that you could put the book on the end of a hook and catch a sandy hook hog. Nick knows how to write about fishing, and as always, in a colorful way. You've got to love this guy. I actually met him once and he was one of the nicest guys you've ever met....and one heck of a fisherman. I actually bought two copies...one for my tackle box and one for my house. If you are fishing in the NY/NJ waters then buy this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars No Rock Left Un-Fished, December 17, 2005
This review is from: The New Jersey Boat Fisherman (Paperback)
Don't let the generic title fool you. This is no ordinary fish story. I started reading the book to learn more about locations and techniques that the best Captains in the state have shared with Nick over the years. I ended up reading the book cover to cover like an action adventure story ! Nick Honachefsky's love and respect of the ocean and its wildlife is conveyed brilliantly through a series of informative and funny stories. I can't wait to go out and fish these spots armed with some of the "Hot Shot Tips" that have made these captains the best of the best. FISH ON NICK !

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Book for Saltwater Fishing in New Jersey From a Boat, April 11, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The New Jersey Boat Fisherman (Paperback)
I read it, I enjoy it, and I find it "may be" very useful for catching fishes. I say "may be" because I haven't had a chance to use the info from this book just yet (I am still fixing my boat). If you have a boat and you live in New Jersey, you may find this book to be very useful.

This book covers many good fishing spots near New Jersey coastal area and off-shore. Based on my memory, around 1/6 are in protected bay area, around 1/3 of fishing spots are not far from the shore, and the rest are far off shore. Therefore, the bigger your boat, the more you may like this book. In other words, if you have a small 14-ft boat, this book is not for you because the chance is good that you cannot take advantage of the information available in the boat.

5.0 out of 5 stars Maximum Fish Destruction, June 5, 2006
This review is from: The New Jersey Boat Fisherman (Paperback)
If you love crackin' busch lights and slappin' tins of long cut, then I have two pieces of advice for you: stay away from my daughter, and get Nick's amazing book. I used to believe in God. Now I believe only in the Hondo.

5.0 out of 5 stars fish it, April 5, 2006
This review is from: The New Jersey Boat Fisherman (Paperback)
This is one of the most entertaining and informative books I have ever read on fishing. Nick captures the essence of hunting in the sea with insight, eloquence and humor. After having fished off of Portugal, California, the Nantucket Shoals, Mexico and more I am excited to embark on the waters off of Jersey. Thanks Nick!

This review is from: The New Jersey Boat Fisherman (Paperback)
This book is very informative, attention grabbing, and interesting. It works as a story of personal adventures and a reference or how to guide. Although no one can tell exactly when and where the fish are, until fishing the areas explained in this book. It is a very good guide and can give a beginer an accurate starting point or a seasoned veteran new ideas.
