My favorite Costa Rica Guidebook, October 18, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: The New Key to Costa Rica (13th ed) (Paperback)
The New Key to Costa Rica remains my favorite Costa Rica guidebook, in spite of many new guidebooks to the area. It has a good track record (13 editions), and the authors continue to research and present a wide assortment of exhaustive, updated, accurate information about Costa Rica. They manage to convey their enthusiasm for the country and to provide a balanced picture with some helpful travel facts, as well as travelers' cautions. Their manage to inject a viewpoint which is personal but fair. This is the guidebook I took with me on my trip to Costa Rica, and I found it to be extremely useful and helpful (everything I needed was there--sometimes you have to search a little) as well as fresh and readable.

Good book!, April 25, 1997

This book is a testament to the evolution of "ecotourism." Now its lucky 13th
edition, the book continues to evaluate eco-lodges and the ways tourism impacts the
environment, for better or worse.
