Biography

The seventh full-length Anti-Flag release (and first on Side One Dummy) starts off fast and furious with “Sodom, Gomorrah, Washington D.C. (Sheep in Shepherd’s Clothing)” as Chris #2 takes aim at those who use the Bible to control the masses, spitting out the lyrics with an urgency that makes his voice crack. If the album’s second track, “The Economy is Suffering…Let It Die,” isn’t nearly as… Read more in Amazon's Anti-Flag Store

5.0 out of 5 stars Great cd, June 20, 2001
This review is from: New Kind of Army (Audio CD)
This is one of my favorite cds i own. If your into a lot of hardcore punk, this cd might sound a little whiny at first, but after a couple listenings you'll realize that this album is full of energy and passion. After a while you'll be singing along with enthusiasm. It has great guitar riffs, awesome vocals, and meaningful political lyrics. I recommend this cd if it's going to be the first cd you buy from this band, or if you already own an Anti-Flag cd and want another great one added to your collection

5.0 out of 5 stars ANTI-FLAG ROCKS!!!, January 24, 2003
By
This review is from: New Kind of Army (Audio CD)
I love this c.d. Bottom line, I LOVE IT! It is honest, straightforward and down to the point. With snarling vocals remeniscent of Johnny Rotten (Sex Pistols), and scratchy distorted guitars that give off a punk rock vibe, this band is as good as it gets. Anti-Flag is one of my favorite bands of all time, Justin Sanes lyrics are so true and they really influenced my ideas on so many issues. And for anyone that thinks that Anti-Flag is a band that just "whines" about issues while doing nothing to solve them, then you need to do your homework. Maybe then you'd find out that Anti-Flag are part of MANY orginizations that are anti-war, anti-hate etc...they even played at/attended an anti-war protest in Washington D.C. on January 18. 2003...they are an all around good band. The lyrics Sane writes are heart-felt and true. If you are in search of a good punk rock band, then search no more. Anti-Flag is for you. Also, check out Justin Sanes solo album "Life, Liberty, and the Persuit of Happiness", it rocks! Later

5.0 out of 5 stars Billy-Bob, no, November 23, 1999
This review is from: New Kind of Army (Audio CD)
Billy-bob, you dont listen. This cd is NOT antiamerica. i mean, read the darn liner notes kiddo.....and they arent british, they are from philly. Ok, with the bashing aside, this CD is possibly the best, most politically correct (not used in the way the US uses it) album ive ever heard. The music is great, its fast, the drums are phenomenale, the vocals are just amazing, and the songs are funny, witty, moving, and sometimes left me speechless. Trust me, this is the best CD ive ever bought.
