Thomas Hine writes about American culture, design and architecture and is the author of Populuxe, Facing Tomorrow, the The Total Package. From 1973 to 1996, he was the architecture and design critic of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Lucy R. Lippard is the author of 20 books, primarily on contemporary art. Her most recent book is On the Beaten Track: Tourism, Art and Place.
