Sid shows his skillz,
By Rx (CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: New Leader (Audio CD)
I have heard that Sid aka DJ Starscream #0 has no skills. This CD right here proves everyone wrong. I have been a fan of DJ Starscream since he was in SlipKnoT where I am sure most of us know him from. Over all this CD is amazing. I have the Japanese Import version which has 3 extra tracks that just blew me away. Though there are some tracks I wish he did release on this cd. Two that I can think of on the top of my head is Duality (DJ Starscream Remix) and Both remixes for "Pulse of The Maggots" But I have those on records so it's all good. If you a fan of DnB then I highly recomend checking this cd out. I Also recomend checking out Genereal Malices's CD titled as "The Final Takeover". "The New Leader" and "The Final Takeover" are a must have!

Full Metal Jungle Mush Up,
By
This review is from: New Leader (Audio CD)
Many know DJ Starscream from his band Slipknot, but "The New Leader" is his recent solo debut. He likes to call it "full metal jungle" and "mush up." But the album is actually more diverse than that, with elements of metal, drums and bass, some hip-hop and part punk, making "The New Leader" an interesting album. Mixing so many styles in this day and age among typical predicable albums makes this one not repetitive or predictable, standing out from the mix of boring bands today. Some very good songs on the album are "Twinpusher" and the reggae influenced "Come On," to the punk rap "Kyukyuku (fight)." The heaviest song on the album is "Riots in NY" which features New York hard core legend Rob Gee. Anyone who loves diverse, hard music will find something to like here.
