This is a very up to date collection of poster portfolios from graphic designers around the world. Besides the overall quality, the interesting point is the diversity (of origins and approaches) and the texts about the creation process of each piece. A must have.

I really enjoyed this book. I am a Visual Communications student and purchased it for a couple of reasons. First I like to keep an eye on what's happening in graphic design around the world. This book has some great artwork in it and is a great way to see what's happening. It was also very informative on the process of poster design. Each section has a page or two dedicated to the process and I found it very informatuve. Finally, my final project for one of my classes is designing a poster and I got it for inspiration. This book worked great for that purpose. Looking at it I have noticed new techniques and fresh ideas that I can draw my inspiration from. There is some great work in this book and it fullfilled all of my expectations. I recommend this book to anyone that is into poster art or graphic design.

Not only is the book fun to look at but the writing is top notch. The author adds a lot of incite and does a great job of describing the ideas behind the work. My personal faves include Jewboy, Thinkmule and Modern Dog. (The only mediocre work in the whole book is from Sandstrom, who seem sorely out of place). You'll love this book if you love art and design.

most of the posters are lytho printed or computer printed only about 10% are screen printed.not worth the money....there is a beter book "gig posters"...

I bought this book for inspiration and it did not let me down! I think all the poster ideas are very inspirational and I love the introduction to each design firm/artist at the beginning of each section. Another neat thing about this book is that they give you the specs and process for each of the designs. But of course, my favorite thing was the artwork--loved it!

This book is a well-written, well-designed tribute to the best and brightest poster designers. The posters featured in this book are stunning. Even if you aren't an artist or graphic designer you can still appreciate its contents. Five stars all the way!

For anyone who feared that the poster was dead, this book shows that there still are extraordinary creative talents hard at work in the genre. Maybe there are fewer analogue posters and more digital ones, but this book keeps the idea alive splendidly.

A great compilation of modern graphic design in poster genre. A must-have for those who follow the poster as art form. It is great fun, includes recent history, and can be useful for working graphic designers as well as collectors

I like this book, the way it show the posters and information about it. the posters and designers ares really good example of poster design.

This book is filled with fabulous designs and ideas. Definitely refreshes the mind when stuck in a rut with old ideas. Like taking a nice, cool shower after getting dirty doing yard work!
