4.0 out of 5 stars New Moon Unabridged
I am enjoying the audiobook. The narrator puts her emotion into the story and I find myself wrapped up in it as if I were there.

3.0 out of 5 stars Five stars in Kristen Stewart had narrated instead of Ilyana Kadushin., January 2, 2011
This review is from: New Moon [AUDIOBOOK/AUDIO CD] [UNABRIDGED] (Audio CD)
This review is for the audio book of New Moon.

I absolutely love the Twilight series. Stephanie Meyer is a brilliant storyteller. As such, I highly recommend the books; however, I do not recommend the audio book.

My only complaint with the audio series is that Listening Library/Random House should have commissioned Kristen Stewart to read New Moon. From watching the movies, fans have become accustomed to hearing Kristen's voice narrate the thoughts of Bella Swan; but more importantly, her voice is more pleasant to the ear than that of Ilyana Kadushin's voice.

Ilyana Kadushin's voice is an interesting combination of a sultry mezzo with a nasal twinge near the end of each word. Listening to Ilyana, it feels more like the character of Victoria is reading the book, than Bella. It is not that her voice is completely unattractive. She would make a great morning radio talk show host. Her voice is better suited for comedy, in my opinion, than the emotional outpourings of a teenage girl.

To sum it up, I love the books, but can't stand the narration.

2.0 out of 5 stars Melodramatic narrator, September 13, 2010
This review is from: New Moon [AUDIOBOOK/AUDIO CD] [UNABRIDGED] (Audio CD)
While I am a HUGE fan of the Twilight books, I did not enjoy this reading. The narrator is so melodramatic. Very over-acted. Not well done at all.
