This is one of the most gifted poet/writers that have ever crossed my path. Jayne's books can grab that part of any parent's soul that yearns to know someone else can relate to their life. Jayne goes through the highs and lows of parenting with such grace and incredible emotion. As a parent of preschoolers/toddlers, I give Jayne's books the highest recommendation!! Her books must be spread to any parent you know...and what precious gifts they make. Any recipient would be very grateful!

I bought the book as a gift for my wife who just gave birth to our first child. I read a poem on amazon and it was absolutely wonderful, as are all the poems in the book. However, I was looking for more of a general collection of mother's poems, and the poems do have more of a religious tone although it does seem to be non denomiational that does reflect the title than what I was looking for. But if you are looking for that type of book, I would highly recommend the book, if you are just looking for a general collection of poems, this is not the book for you.

I married into a large family and the holidays are always stressful because finding gifts can be such a challenge. This book is one of those great gifts that serves as a thoughtful gesture and is actually useful to the recipient -- I bought one for all four of my sister-in-laws.

Wanted to buy this to encourage a new mom, but there is so much about "how hard it is" to be a mom that I decided not to give it as a gift.
