5.0 out of 5 stars Great and Inciteful Book!, February 27, 2006
This review is from: New Museum Theory and Practice: An Introduction (Paperback)
"New Museum Theory and Practice" has been a great resource for the Museum Studies course I'm taking in college. This book is a collection of essays that addresses numerous issues that are crucial to the new outlook for museums in the 21st century. Honest and up to date, the book discusses matters such as collection processing, feminism, multiculturalism, and poses questions about the basic foundations of museums as they exist today.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read for peeking at the vision of what could happen to our museums, July 24, 2011

This review is from: New Museum Theory and Practice: An Introduction (Paperback)
Great Book! This book was used in my arts administration graduate course to share what and how museums are changing to engage a public that is desensitized to thinking for themselves--about any subject! This book shows how museum change to make what they do more hands-on, interactive or touch-friendly as the public feels the need for constant entertainment. I like elements of new museum theory--especially for children butI think it is great to have traditional museums. Great book!
