4.0 out of 5 stars I Am A Camera
In his ongoing anthology series of film and TV work, Christopher Franke delves into Solo, Tarzan and The Lost City, The Inheritance, Pacific Blue and Terror In The Mall for the 16 tracks that clock 47:38.

3.0 out of 5 stars good music from films you haven't seen
Christopher Franke is perhaps best known for his work with Tanegrine Dream, or perhaps for scoring the television series Babylon 5. This CD features more of his synthesizer oriented music, and if you listen closely you can probably detect the Berlin Symphonic Film Orchestra, which he founded. There are selections from some of his more recent works: Tarzan and the Lost...

This review is from: New Music for Films, Vol. 2 (Audio CD)
In his ongoing anthology series of film and TV work, Christopher Franke delves into Solo, Tarzan and The Lost City, The Inheritance, Pacific Blue and Terror In The Mall for the 16 tracks that clock 47:38.

With the Berlin Symphonic Film Orchestra, Franke weaves an intriguing soundscape that provides a "concert" experience; the music flows through the well-crafted traditional and contemporary orchestrations. Though casual progressive rock fans will probably only know Franke through his work with Tangerine Dream, this release is a solid way to appreciate his solo artistry.

This CD features more of his synthesizer oriented music, and if you listen closely you can probably detect the Berlin Symphonic Film Orchestra, which he founded. There are selections from some of his more recent works: Tarzan and the Lost City, Solo, The Inheritance, Terror in the Mall, and Pacific Blue, with the songs ordered to provide the best listening experience instead of being grouped by project. My problem with this CD is that I haven't seen any of these films, so none of these songs resonate very much for me.
