4.0 out of 5 stars taras schvechenko Review, September 18, 2001

This review is from: New Order - Taras Schevchenko [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is a good video for die-hard new order fans. It is a live show from the ukrainian national home, NYC, 11/18/01, around the release of Movement. there are a few tracks from Movement, some from the "everything's gone green" EP, and even the (at the time) forthcoming "Temptation". It is cool to see how they do what they do in a live setting. This footage is from their early days, so they still had that gothic-like Joy Division sound to them. My complaint is that the intro and outro are ridiculous-merely still images of the venue and posters for the event and such. the same thing is shown for both the intro and outro, which totals a waste of 6 minutes in this 53 minute-long video. I believe this footage is included on the "316" DVD, available only in Europeon Region 4 (not US) encoding.
