Beauty in the heart of disaster...,

I watched "New Orleans, Mon Amour" without knowing anything about it other than who was in it and that it's set in the crescent city. What a beautiful film! It's a forbidden love affair set in the heart of the aftermath of Katrina and all her devastation. I love Christopher Eccleston and he certainly delivers in his role as Dr. Henry. The film definately has an indie feel and is low budget but it celebrates this fact with beautiful shots of post katrina NOLA and relatable characterization with realistic dialogue. I give the film a 4/5 and highly recommend it, especially if you have ties with New Orleans. It will tug at your conscience and leave you thinking for days to come.
