I lived in New Orleans for three years and of all the picture books about the city, I actually found this set of postcards to be the most meaningful. After sending out a few of them I decided to buy another set just to keep as a book. The pictures are obviously focused on the "olden days" of Louisiana and New Orleans, but they really do evoke a lost world, a beautiful world - all the more beautiful for being immobilized and extracted from its true context of heat, violence and revelry.

The postcards are beautifully photograhed, and easily detachable. Very professional looking, and priced to sell! I will buy them again, when I am in need of more.
