The anthems contained in this collection are particularly lovely. It is a nice assortment for a church choir. It contains some favorite hymns set to different tunes such as "Come Thou Long Expected Jesus", "The Strife is O'er" and "Let All The World". The anthems are indexed in three ways: alphabetically, by composer, and also under suitable occasions such as Advent and Trinity, facilitating the selection of an anthem for a certain time of year in the church calendar. Take note that the book is small in size - about 6" X 8". This makes the reading smaller, but also could have its advantages.

As a member of a Choir in the Episcopal Church which sings Catherdral music every Sunday this book has been a godsend to those of us in the choir. We sing at least one Anthem every week from this book and the responses we receive from the congregaton is a wonderful tribute to those responsible for compiling this book.
