A Classic on two levels,

Another excellent textbook from Harry Phillips. This is both a model and a reference work that I never part with.As a corporate trainer for a company that still uses Windows 95 as it's primary PC operating system, this is an invaluable tool in providing training to new users via phone support (Help Desk) and in the classroom. I used the book as a primary reference when I worked on the help desk troubleshooting user errors or explaining the basics of the operating system. Now, as a trainer, I use the book as a model for interactive training when designing a short course on Windows 95 or 98. The step-through exercises are excellent and so clear that my "students" are able to take off on their own, without my assistance, and learn the materials successfully. I have used the text to teach friends and co-workers the elements of the Windows 9x family of operating systems. If you are using Windows 95, but know you aren't getting the most out of what has become a fairly stable operating system, this is the book that will make you smack your forehead and exclaim "I get it!"
