I recently purchased this book to use as a reference guide for a quilt I am working on. This book is fabulous! It includes step-by-step instructions on just about every aspect of the quilting process. The book also includes well illustrated pictures along with the instructions, which enhances the books value. I did feel however that the book did not explain quilting terms as in depth as I would have liked. Despite this, I feel this book should be added to the library of anyone who does quilt, or plans to quilt in the future. Had I read this book before quilting for the first time, my first quilt would have been a less daunting process. If you don't have this book, get it soon!

Unlike so many of the quilting books out there that get positively sappy, this revised Singer volume remains an excellent primer for the beginner trying to understand the concept and practice of basic quilting. I've seen no other publisher make the effort of so many full-color photos illustrating step-by-step how to design, construct and execute a quilt. Well worth the asking price.

I've had this book before and it was a wonderful resource for a beginning quilter as I was at the time. I lent it to my sister and never got it back, and now want to start a new quilting project, so I purchased the book again. It was like getting back in touch with an old friend.
It has wonderful clear illustrations and instructions. It is visually beautiful, with the contemporary colors and patterns used for quilts. Makes me want to quilt every pattern.

This book also a good book.

This book is very good for beginners.

I took a Quilting class and this book was a great reference book. It had everything a beginner quilter would need.

I grew up sewing on my mother's Singer. I have since given her machine to my children. They both love to quilt. I bought this book from Amazon so they'd have something to help them. They really love using it.
