The New Sampler quilt is an exelent and motivating book. It is good for beginners and intermediates alike. It has bright colorful pictures as well as clear and concise directions. The book also includes already drawn pieces for 12" blocks. This book gave me many new ideas.

I purchased The Sampler Quilt years ago and loved it. Then a couple of years ago I was putting together a beginning quilting class and ran across The New Sampler Quilt. It became the teaching tool for my class and all my students purchased it. The instructions are very well written and easy to understand. I recommend this book for anyone new at quilting.

This is a great quilting book. Lots of helps, tips, etc. The only thing that is a negative is the choice of the colors of fabric in the illustrations, but as I have made each block I tape a picture of mine over top of the one in the book. Excellent book for beginners.
