in my view, byrne is one of those consumate artists/individuals who is fortunate enough to have the time, energy & presence of mind to cultivate some perspective on what's really goin' on. i have faith in this general sense that i get that he has a realistic approach in his wanting the best for mankind. that's why i trust him. in "the new sins," he's essentially just pointing out what's wrong with the way we think & behave in our world (i don't get the impression that he feels he's immune to any of these follies). not at all unlike c.s. lewis's "the screwtape letters" (which i also highly recommend). please do treat yerself to this lil' handy collection of insights into us & hohn you can yer spanish while yer at it.....enjoy....
