I feel better using the glass containers and they don't stain like plastic.
Sam
High quality, great variety of sizes and is a good replacement for plastic storage containers.
Miss Maow
The lids snap closed so they are water tight, and the glass is very durable.

These are by far the best storage options out there. They don't stain like plastic. The lids are convenient and easy to store. They stack nicely. They hold up great in the dishwasher but I only put the lids on top rack. I have owned one set for 3 years and am purchasing another because my Wife has tossed out all the old plastic storage. I will warn you that I have had only one problem with one of the smaller dishes. I took it out of the fridge and put it directly into the Microwave and it cracked. The container was only half full. So now I just run a little cold water over it before I put it the Microwave and no problems since. Still the best we ever used and great for travel also.

These are dangerous. small very sharp chips came off the rims of the bowls with normal handling. I emailed the manufacturers and they wanted pictures. I sent pictures. two months later I called. After much discussion, they offered to send me new ones if I paid shipping. I told them to forget it. Do not purchase Glasslock!

I purchased these Glasslock containers at Costco. I loved the fact that I didn't need to store our food in plastic anymore. However, after about a year the rims started chipping off and I was finding long thin slivers of glass. At first I cut myself when I got a glass splinter in my hand. I threw that container out about 2 weeks ago. Now I found quite a few splinters in an an empty container I was about to use. I decided to throw away the whole set. I even threw out some left-overs that were in my fridge because I didn't know if there was glass in them before I put the food in them. I know Costco would have made good on them, but I did not save my receipt. I would definitely stay away from these. The set I had was made in Korea. I don't know if Pyrex is American made, but I would look into it, as I will before purchasing another glass container set.

Plastic tops of snap lid break making the bottoms worthless. No tops available !
Not worth the money !

I'd like to add something here. These are excellent, useful containers so long as the wings on the tops last. We took very good care of them, never put the tops in the dishwasher and were gently using the snap lids. Still, out of the 12 containers we bought, 9 were useless within 3 months. Up until today when an amazon user told me you can get replacement tops (2 at a time, plus shipping) I was not able to get any such info from the company. We will try to get the replacements this week.

What happened here? I had a set of the old version of Glasslock that was great but this is HORRIBLE. I struggled to close the lids. The whole idea is to have an easy secure system. Closing the fourth side on some of these was simply impossible. I contacted Glasslock and got no response.

In the process of clearing plastic out of our house... these have worked really well for us. (and yes, the lids are plastic, but we figure that part shouldn't be touching our food anyway, so no worries, right?)

I love these! The glass looks great in the fridge! The locking lids work great and don't leak! Excellent buy! Forget Rubbermaid and go with these! Cheaper and better!

5 of 5 people found the following review helpful By Gary McCoy on March 31, 2014
Terrible warranty, misleading instructions, and poor workmanship! Do not buy! We bought two of these sets (one for us and one for my mother.). Our set had a lid that was cracked in several places, right out of the box. My mother warmed up some soup in one of her containers with the lid in place (As the instructions say is permitted. In another place on the box they advise against it, making the instructions contradictory and misleading. My mother is elderly and doesn't see small type very well, so this was not an error on her part.). The result was that the lid was permanently sealed to the container and could not be removed unless the glass container was broken into bits.

So I called Glasslock and told them we needed replacements for these two pieces (our fractured lid and my mother's lid and container). I explained their ambiguous instructions stating that warming food with the lid in place is allowed prior to the customer representative telling me it is not advised. In any regard, she said they would replace the items but I would have to pay shipping and handling (almost $9.00!). I told her I didn't feel that we should have to pay anything extra since the replacement pieces were needed due to poor workmanship and faulty instructions on their part. Glasslock refused to budge, even though I told them that they could afford the nearly $9.00 shipping cost more than we could, and it was by their negligence, not ours, that created the situation. They still would not budge.

Lastly, I gave way, but told them how unhappy I was with their sub-par quality and the disregard with which they treat their customers, and I also informed them that I felt it incumbent on me to give an honest review and inform other potential customers of what kind of product and company they are.
