More About the Author

I am currently holding three positions on three continents! I am Executive Vice-President for Strategic Development with ImpactAssets, a nonprofit financial services firm with offices in the U.S. and offering information on impact investing to interested asset owners and creating impact investing products for the asset owner/impact fund market. I'm a Senior Fellow with the Center for Social Investing at Heidelberg University (Germany); and am also Senior Advisor to The Sterling Group (a multi-family office based in Hong Kong pursuing a sustainable/impact investing strategy for its clients).

I was a founding board member of Pacific Community Ventures, founding director of REDF and have been affiliated with various leading investment firms, such as Generation Investment Management (London).

I'm also something of an accidental academic, with an appointment as adjunct professor with NYU-Abu Dhabi, in addition to having held appointments at Harvard, Stanford and Oxford Business schools.

Much as the term is over-used, I'm viewed internationally as a thought leader, having originated the concept of Blended Value and produced numerous articles on investing capital and managing firms for multiple returns. I have presented my work at the World Economic Forum, CGI and other events around the world. My various papers/research may be found at www.blendedvalue.org and are available for free...
