I was looking for a small frying pan with a lid in order to make sunny side up eggs. Usually the available pans with lids were large (12 inches) or very expensive. Since I had a collection of saute pans, the universal lid seemed to be the right solution. It works well and serves as a lid for all my saute pans, no matter what size.

It may not win a beauty contest or a design competition; it isn't "artsy" - it is just a pot cover that is great for those large pots and pans that didn't come with a cover of their own.

It has a vent which you can open or close as suits your needs.

If they made one a little bit bigger, I'd buy it too.

This handy cover fit a number of larger pots and pans in my kitchen. I was able to discard one lid I had so it really didn't take up addition space, but now allows me to cover more larger pans simultaneously.
