More About the Author

Rob Wall is the Paul T. Walls Professor of Scripture and Wesleyan Studies at Seattle Pacific University (www.spu.edu/depts/theology/faculty/wall). His books and articles are aimed at both scholars and the church's clergy. Dr. Wall's canonical approach to biblical interpretation and his other research interests have been shaped within the ferment of the university classroom and guild in conversation with his students and colleagues. In both his published work and classroom teaching, Dr. Wall approaches the Bible as a sacred text, formed and fixed by the church under the Spirit's direction, whose referent is the triune God and whose target is the theological understanding and moral resolve of today's people of God.

Dr. Wall, an elder of the Free Methodist Church, is a Seattle native, an avid sportsman, and a dedicated Seattle Mariner's fan. He is a popular Bible teacher and enjoys an active ecumenical ministry of preaching and teaching in local congregations throughout the Northwest.
