Let me begin, that I have the full version release of Freedom is a State of Mind, and do not have this album, specifically. FiaSoM contains all but 1 or 2 of these songs- hence, I am checking this disc out. I cannot allow anyone to defend this album with abusive language. Anyone that is offended by this disc should know that CA clearly states "Although this message...

1.0 out of 5 stars This album is complete Garbage.
Well if you want to hear some really bad music then this album is for you. Corporate Avenger go for that shock appeal by hating God, the government, and cops.. However they don't have any lyrical skills to back up what they hate. These songs have crude and unpolished beats that sound terrible. They are nothing but white people doing a terrible job at trying to rap...

Let me begin, that I have the full version release of Freedom is a State of Mind, and do not have this album, specifically. FiaSoM contains all but 1 or 2 of these songs- hence, I am checking this disc out. I cannot allow anyone to defend this album with abusive language. Anyone that is offended by this disc should know that CA clearly states "Although this message [contained within the music and lyrics] is for everyone, this album is not."
This is not "shock music", although CA certainly does grab your attention, and there is, indeed, a message in there somewhere, but one has to have a very open mind to see it. I feel for you that are unable to see it, because it exposes some important and CREDIBLE issues of hatred, intolerance, and barbarism perpetrated by Christians and other major organized religions.
I don't ask that you like the music nor the message and neither does CA. They realize that it is much different than the mana on which you were raised, but for anyone to call it shock music with no actual message, bad white boy rap, or offensive to a born again Christian, you are truly ignorant of reading the lyric sheet in the CD [the message is quite clear and concise- you just don't like it!!], ignorant of genres [CA is not rap but leans more towards Industrial Metal, a genre established BY white boys], and ignorant of your religious history [You shouldn't be offended- you should be ashamed!!] There is a lesson to be learned here and it is wrapped in a unique package in Corporate Avenger. Don't hate them because they are beautiful!

5.0 out of 5 stars Positive message, March 29, 2004

This review is from: New Testament (Audio CD)
It seems that noone has really touched the positive message that is the main goal of CA. The music is only "shocking" for those who are unaware or sleeping, but for those of us who have been aware from the start, it's a very refreshing and emotional album. The music itself is so so, in my opinion, but the message or lyrical content is what sticks out to me. I probably wouldn't like this group so much if I honestly felt that what they are doing is for "shock" value. They have a very positive message past all the offensive(offensive to some)lyrics. That message is to promote peace, and a free and loving society, government and world. Before I had ever heard this group, I was lost in all the confusion and hatred that held me back in my soul, life, and mind. I honestly vow, this group, with the positive message they enforce, have changed my life in this world and hopefully in the next. We are all children of the universe and the Creator, whether or not you believe in this is up to you. We are all blessed with this gift of life, use yours wisely.......after all this is your only one as far as you know. Peace to all of you.

DO YOU WANT TO KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT RELIGION, GOVERNMENT, AND MANY OTHER ORGANIZATIONS? Corporate Avenger will tell you the truth as the truth is hear, now, with CA. The New Testament CD is packed with pounding beats, crunching guitars, seductive vocals, and nothing but the truth lyrics. If i had to pick a favorite song, i would be hard pressed to choose.

5.0 out of 5 stars Powerful Music, Intelligent Ideas, March 7, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: New Testament (Audio CD)
Most people tend to dislike CA upon first hearing their lyrics, but the people that do not approve of their lyrics are simply too naive to understand the truth to what CA says. Many people merely pass them off as having no meaning, but that is simply because these people do not agree with the ideas stated on this album. If one does not agree with CA, then he or she should not say that CA is not a good band for that reason alone. It is ironic that the people that try to keep people from listening to CA by misrepresentation are going against the very ethics that CA describes on this album. They, CA, are about freedom and peace, which cannot be obtained with problems such as government and religion in the way. True, they do sing about some anarchist themes, but to reach absolute freedom and such, there must be a period of anarchy through which this world must undergo so that we can fix the ills of society. CA does have excellent music, which is (understandably) reminiscient of the Kottonmouth Kings, and the lyrics are well written, and carry a strong message. If more people listened to them, maybe we would not be stuck in the world that we are stuck in today. So, despite the poor description of the handful of incompentents who have submitted reviews to this album and other CA albums, I would strongly suggest that everyone go out and buy this CD, because one can learn a great deal from it, and have a good time listening to it.

I was extremely lucky enough to see these guys live at the Ranch Bowl in Omaha, Nebraska when they came with the Kottonmouth Kings on July 5th, 2000. Once they started the first song,"I don't fault the police", i was hooked immediately. They speak the truth about taxes, politics, and even exploit religion so much that it makes Marilyn manson look like Patsy Cline. This music is hard, fast, and provacative, you won't be the same after you listen to this cd. BUY IT!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Open you're eyes, March 12, 2002
This review is from: New Testament (Audio CD)
hmmm that born again christian guy... funny as ... man. This CD is definantly not for you close minded fools who can't see past the ideals force fed to you as a child. Grow up (I have a feeling you're 40, but you're still a child) and remove the blind-fold man. Not only does this group have raw, creative talent, but also an unclouded view of the world we live in. I'm so happy for you people with money, I'm glad that this world benefits you so much. For everyone not so fortunate to live the american (republican) dream this is the CD for you.

This CD is slammin'! The New Testament is better than The Taxes Are Stealing, but only because you hear more of their sound... these boys rock!! Buy this CD (if you like hard-core-in-your-face-truth kinda lyrics), you won't be disappointed!
