When I sat down with Irene, she told me that when she writes, she allows the characters to tell the story. She is like a ghost who sits on a mantle and watches the scenes unfold before her. The characters become very real to her; she experiences their thoughts and emotions.

By doing that, she hopes that the readers are able to experience fully what she has written. She says, "We read to escape the everyday ordinary routine that we fall into. I want my readers to share the characters' adventures and dreams in the hopes that they will come to care for the characters as much as I do."

NEW TIME NEW PLACE takes the reader on an absorbing tour through love, revenge, lies, and secrets. I was completely engrossed in the story. The way the characters are introduced to us helps us to discover that they are unique in their own way. I enjoyed it very much.

Romantic, intriguing, charming, "New Time New Place" is the kind of romance novel that keeps you caught up in the story right until the very end. As I was reading, I kept thinking "just one more chapter then I'll set the book down for the moment" and first thing I knew, I had finished the novel and was reading the first chapter of "Only a Fool's Game", Mrs.Fevens' next publication! I strongly recommend "New Time New Place" to romance lovers of all ages.
