This product offers a perfect configuration for a presentation to a large group. As a trainer, I can walk around withmy iPad on my left hand with it feeling secure. Using my Apple TV, my iPad projects my presentation wirelessly to the overhead LCD. Concept works perfectly....
.DOWN SIDE: the Grabbit has a major design flaw...the large circular insert that allows for rotation of the iPad nestles against the backside of the iPad. Any rotation causes the insert to scratch the rear of your iPad and over a period of time, one would have a perfect circle "tattoo" imbedded into the aluminum.
For me, not acceptable! I have a protective ZaggSkin on mine. I would not even attach it to my iPad without that protection. Secondly, from a personal standpoint, the device and the iPad become uncomfortable by the end of my 4 hour class. The leather strap, while sturdy, is rough, sharp edged and hard...the underside of the strap is raw unfinished leather against the back of your hand... Moreover, the configuration becomes "heavy" after a while. I had to sit it down...take a break...rotate between use and rest!
Sadly, the device is hard to "snap on" and "snap off" it is extremely important that all four corners are snapped in place before use. The last corner is hard to click in place. But totally necessary unless you want your ipad in pieces at your feet! Overall...the configuration and concept is superb, the final product just average!

All iPad 2 owners NEED this Grabbit iPad 2 case. My hand fits very snug into the adjustable leather strap and the swivel allows me to hold the iPad in any angle that I need to be comfortable. Any iPad owner knows that the iPad can get heavy after a while, and holding it with this strap somehow makes it feel less cumbersome to hold.
I also like the peace of mind that I get from this strap. It is much more secure in my hands, so I don't need to constantly worry about having a good grip. I also feel like it is safer from unforeseen bumps and even thieves.
The main part of the case is the back half, where the strap is attached. It also comes with a front shell that snaps into place to create a full case with good protection. It does not automatically put the iPad to sleep when closed, however (maybe in the next version?). There is also a simple stand piece that you can attach to the back, which is nice.
I have one concern. Before docking my iPad 2 into the back shell, I noticed a number of circular plastic pieces protruding out with harsh edges. They do not protrude enough to actually make contact with the back of my iPad, but I am concerned that these edges might create scratches while swiveling the strap. Careful tests did not appear to leave damage, but the case's shell does bend a bit, and if the strap were to swivel while pushing against the back of the iPad, I think scratches will eventually appear in the shape of a circle.
Other than that concern, this is definitely a 5 star product that will greatly improve your experience with the iPad 2.
