I really love this CD. The words and music are just beautiful.

I am an avid music lover, and I am familiar with all classic wedding traditions. When I began planning my wedding, however, I was sure that I wanted the soundtrack to be something new, not the typical wedding music. I purchased this CD because other reviewers on this site were so happy with it. When I received it in the mail and listened to it, I immediately threw it away. The music is HORRIBLE. The musicians sing in their throats and the songs are written almost exactly like the early 80's love songs, with the same electronic feel. The music is just plain tacky for a day that is supposed to be so very special. The instrumental versions could be tolerated, but never on my wedding day. Please take my recommendation and stick to the classics, at least in this case.

We were looking for songs for the father bride and mother groom dance and we got them on this CD with "A Song For My Son" and " Song For My Daughter"
I am also going to use "A Wedding Thank You" for a dance with my brothers.
And we will dedicate "To Our Family And Friends" to all our guests at the end of the reception.
Nice to know we found most of our special songs on this CD.

Great CD filled with the best songs and we are useing everyone at our wedding this summer.
We really liked all the different singers they are all great.
And the words are stright from the heart.
I will tell everyone planning a wedding about this CD.

I purchased quite a few wedding CDs from amazon to find just the right wedding songs.
I have to say of all the CDs this is the one I love the most.
I have been sharing my research with friends and family and they all agree that the songs on this CD are the best of all.
This CDs has many different singers so that the voices really match the songs. And the music is beautiful too.
I am grateful that I found a wedding CD with words and music that will always remind us of a perfect wedding day.

I would like to hear a sample of the songs

I am going to use "A Wedding Thank You" for a dance with my brother because he will be standing in for my dad and giving me away. (my dad passed on last year)
And we are so glad we could find "A Song For My Son" and "A Song For My Daughter" both on the same CD. We are going to play the female version of "A Song For My Daughter" for my mom and I and "A Song For My Son" for the mother groom dance.
I will probably use a couple of the other songs too.

I purchased this album for one song (A Song for My Son). While listening to the album I discovered that the rest of the songs were also really beautiful. The album also encloses the words for the songs, so you can sing along as I did while you dance. "A Song for My Son" is the song that my son and I danced to for the mother son dance at his wedding reception. The words were just what I wanted to say to him and it was a very memorable occasion for us. I wish I had had this song for my oldest sons wedding some 10 years ago. I also thought the songs "A Song for My Daughter", songs for the Bride one from the Dad and the one from the Mom, where excellent. I am going to share this album with other family members that enjoyed the song and have children who will marry soon. If there is a wedding in your future this is a great album for many special events during the reception. Enjoy!!!

I got this CD when I got the New Wedding Traditions Volume II CD (also from Amazon) I can't begin to say how perfect this wedding music is. Each and every song relays a wedding day message that goes right to the heart. Keep up the good work!

I also bought this CD based on the reviews and I wanted something a little different than the norm for a father-daughter song. The lyrics are nice enough, but it's SO cheesy. It's like bad elevator music. I wouldn't dare play these songs at my elegant evening wedding (or any wedding for that matter). My guests would probably think we were doing a gag if we danced to any of this music. A waste of money in my opinion.
