Editorial Reviews

From the Author

This was written before the movie Green Card came out, which was released the same year A New World was. Of course, A New World  is much better . Cahill was inspired by a comment by a charming old man in a pub in Ireland. --This text refers to the Kindle Edition edition.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Romance, January 20, 2011
This review is from: A New World (Kindle Edition)
Cahill McCrea is a wonderful hero. (I could hear his Irish accent in every word!) He brings his charm and his Irish songs to help save Eleanor's struggling seaside restaurant in Gloucester, Mass. But his charm and his dreaming are what scare Eleanor so much, even as she's drawn to them - and to him. Cahill helps not only Eleanor's restaurant, but to defeat her ghosts, even as he struggles with his own ghosts.

Cahill and his practical Eleanor coming together gave me that satisfied sigh I love at the end of a book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must Read, October 14, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: A New World (Kindle Edition)
The always practical Eleanor Thatcher has been disappointed by Dreamers her whole life. She does everything she can to avoid her growing attraction to the hunky dreamer Cahill McCrea who is saving her restaurant one Irish song at a time. When the INS is about to send Cahill back to Ireland, Eleanor comes up with a practical solution to keep him in the USA. Propose marriage?!

I fell in love with the ballad singing Cahill. He's handsome, smart, strong, and had an Irish Brogue to die for. Eleanor is a real woman, with real curves, a sense of humor and intelligence making her extremely likable. I was sad when I finished, because I wanted more.

3.0 out of 5 stars From Back Cover, December 17, 2007

(REAL NAME)
A NEW WORLD...

Eleanor Thalston refused to be charmed by the twinkling eyes and lilting brogue of the Irish balladeer she hired to strum up business for her restaurant. She was far too practical to fall for a fantasy spinner like Cahill McCrea. Yes, his commanding presence, his manly ways, wove a tantalizing, arousing spell, but bitter reality had taught Eleanor that dreamers always drifted on, dealing in only one future: heartache.

Cahill longed to settle down in America. In headstrong Eleanor, he found the woman to share that future with. But he'd have to convince her of his staying power. And his time in this precious new world was rapidly running out...
