The images were very clear. The excellent sound however made the blu ray purchase worth it. It sounds really great if you have a reasonable sound system. The clarity of the out of concert hall shots were also wonderful. A great disk, good video editing, and a good program.

First of all, let me 'fess up that this is not a review but a critique of Amazons policy of offering music dvds for sale without bothering to list the music thereon. As there are endless choices of New Years programs, it seems abundantly clear that in order to make a choice, it is imperative that you know what is being offered. Of course we know that, in general, the music is going to be light and frothy with a preponderance of Strauss so maybe content isn't important. ????? If every song on every cd offered by Amazon is routinely listed, I am at a complete loss as to why the same can't be done with DVDs. One of my many tirades to Amazon brought the lame excuse that the listings are done by the offereing companies and are thus out of Amazons control. Very lame indeed!! Come on guys!! If you want me to part with $25.00 for a DVD, then you had better come up with a method that lets me know what is on that DVD. Maybe enough complaints from fellow malcontents can correct this so speak up people!!!
