Learning About New Year's Day
This Rookie book is an excellent supplement to any unit on New Year's Day celebrations. It is simple, but thorough because it covered everything a child would need to know about the celebration of a New Year. I used it as a read-aloud, but I will be ordering more for next year so that my students can have a copy of the book in their reading group book bins.

Nice factual book about New Year's ... but boring!
Tried to read this to my kindergarten class. Eyes glossed over. No one was really paying attention. It has nice pictures but the book is small so the pictures are small. The information is good but it doesn't grab 5 year olds' attention!
