The master in a trio playing straight-ahead jazz - this one is a must have! The album was actually recorded in Dec of 1984. Kenny's command of the piano gives him the freedom to really cut loose. His intelligence and creativity shine through on just about every track. Rufus Reid on bass and Frederick Waits on drums - what a great trio. Don't miss it!

ole kenny,

Kenny Barron is the most underated piano players ever. This man has the ability to make the piano sing in ways which make non-jazz listeners doubletake. If you haven't heard him, buy this album. If you're a piano player, this is the kind of album that makes you shed for hours trying to transcribe...Awsome album

Kenny Barron is one of the best jazz pianists playing today, and this album, recorded more than 20 years ago, proves that he's been this good for a long time now.
